About Don DeWitt
Don DeWitt
In 2008, Don retired from the University of Oklahoma after serving for 21 years as the curator of the Western History Collections. He learned to fly in Iowa and Nebraska and earned his private pilot certificate in 1960 while living in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He stopped flying for nearly 40 years, but began again in 2003 and hopes to continue for several more years. Don currently flies a Fisher Celebrity experimental biplane “whenever and wherever” he can.
